But how 11 year old me loved this movie so... ...Oh! But how 11 year old me loved this movie so... (Sad face!) The merchandise. The killer soundtrack, including Seal's "Kiss from a Rose". This was the first Batman movie I was really old enough to see in theaters and remember. In all seriousness, you're right. As an adult cinephile, this is a pretty bad movie, but it does have the campy TV Batman vibe that every other Batman franchise is really missing. And I actually like Kilmer in the role. I would even go so far as to say nobody was miscast. Schumacher made exactly the movie he wanted to. Great review! I love the passion in your disdain.
