Opinion
As if Child's Play 2 wasn't embarrassing enough, here's another dreadful horror movie starring Chucky, that cutie pie. I'm just kidding, there's nothing cute about him. Nor about this film.
This time around, the writer managed to write an even more stupid and more ridiculous story than the previous ones. Actually, it's basically the same exact story of the first film and sequel, only set in a military school which only makes it even more stupid. That's probably what happens when someone is pressured to write a script in a hurry because the movie needs to get released nine months after its predecessor.
Anyway, the story isn't the only problem with this film. The unlikable characters that only make you end up rooting for Chucky are just another of this film's flaws. They are stupid, flat, shallow, under-developed and so uninteresting that, along with the plot, they make for a really tedious movie.
But I don't think it's fair to blame the writers only. Actually, the major blame goes to the director for not being able to set the right atmosphere and for failing to deliver any tension whatsoever. However, I have to say that Bender was able to make some scenes stand out. Not much of a difficult task considering how poor the film is.

Hey now,I love Child's Play 2. That movie is bomb lol.
ReplyDeleteThis one was so bad. Aging up Andy is sort of interesting but they completely wasted it.
