Just in case you haven't noticed, who knows, maybe you live in a cave or you're an Amish (but I'm pretty sure you don't/aren't otherwise you wouldn't be here reading this), Christmas is coming which for me pretty much translates into food, more food and even more food. And Christmas movies, duh. And thanks to Dell (I cannot thank you enough as I really wanted to do this) this blogathon too.
And I should thank Nostra too since he is the mastermind behind it. I'll let him explain the rules because I'm terrible at this. The rules are, just like the past relay races (which I did ages ago), very simple: The list has 10 Christmas movies (in random order) and when the baton is handed over to a new blogger, he or she has to remove one title of the list (with an explanation why) and add one new title. Once that is done a new blogger is contacted who will take the baton and run with it, doing the same (you can reinstate a title which has been previously removed). As Christmas is in three weeks I want to ask you to publish your entry as quickly as possible to make sure the list changes as much as possible before the 25th of December. Add the logo of this relay race to your post and also add links to those who came before you making it easy for everyone to find all the entries.
The list so far:
Marked Movies
Keith and the Movies
Flixchatter
Rambling Film
Two Dollar Cinema
Dell on Movies
Here's the list Dell passed me over
Home Alone
Elf
Bad Santa
Die Hard
A Christmas Story
Gremlins
It's a Wonderful Life
Miracle on 34th Street
Muppet Christmas Carol
The Nightmare Before Christmas
I'm not sure it's fair because I've never seen this version (only about 10 minutes when I was a kid but I quit because it bored me to death), but I have to take out Miracle on the 34th Street. I gotta add Joyeux Noel back to the list because it's one of the finest Christmas movies ever made. For me, this is the movie that truly captures the spirit of Christmas and everyone should see it.
And now comes the difficult part, who pass it to? Mmm... let me think... it's going to be *drumroll* Margaret over at Cinematic Corner. I hope you find the time (and the willpower to stop perving) because the baton is all yours!
I've never seen your pick but it's Christmas time so maybe I'll find the time :)
ReplyDeletethanks for tagging me!
You're welcome! And find the time because that movie is great.
DeleteThis movie won't die, lol. Guess I'm going to have to break down and see it.
ReplyDeleteHaha I guess you have to
DeleteInteresting to see it coming back, still have to see it though....
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining!
Thanks for hosting it!
DeleteI'm glad to see Joyeux Noel back! Great movie.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a shame many people don't know about it.
DeleteDamn it! I think I need to see Joyeux Noel because it's been passed back and forth more times than I can keep count of. But, being that's it's the 27th of December, it's going to have to wait til next year. Aw.
ReplyDelete(now off to the Corner...uh, the cinematic one, that is)
There's plenty of time, it's not like it's going to disappear off the face of the earth or anything :) Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy it.
