Thursday Movie Picks: 2019 Movies You're Looking Forward To

2018 has almost come to an end —I can't believe it either— and Wandering Through the Shelves is asking us to pick movies we are looking forward to seeing in 2019 for this week's Thursday Movie Picks. Without further ado, here are the three movies I'm the most excited about.

Avengers: Endgame (2019)

I didn't love Infinity War as much as most people/Marvel fans did, but I can't wait to see how they fix the universe.

Detective Pikachu (2019)

I'm a 24-year-old woman who still plays PokemonGO every single day. Of course I'm excited about this movie. Also, Pikachu is so adorable and Reynolds voices him. This is going to be so epic!

Toy Story 4 (2019)

Toy Story is arguably one of the best trilogies ever and I love the characters since I was a child. Do I need to say more?

  2. I'm not quite sure how I feel about the pokemon movie. I certainly have a few reservations.

The other two I am 100% seeing without a doubt.

    1. Well, look at the bright side, whether it's good or not, Reynolds will make fun of it in Deapdool 3

  3. I've reached the end of my patience with the Avengers and the other two are animation of one type or another which just isn't my deal.

    I'm looking forward to these:

Greyhound (Tom Hanks & Elisabeth Shue)-Nazi U-boats pursue a convoy of Allied ships during the early days of World War II. Love Hanks and Shue and like war films so if everything comes together it should be good.

Rocketman (Taron Egerton)-A biopic about Elton John. It's a well worn genre but at least the music will be good for sure and I think Egerton is good casting.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (Brad Pitt & Leonardo DiCaprio)-In 1969 Los Angeles, a former Western star and his longtime stunt double struggle to find success in a Hollywood that they don't recognize anymore. I'm variable on Tarantino and I'm very concerned how Sharon Tate's and the other murders will be presented but with that cast I'm willing to wait and see.

    1. I completely forgot about Rocketman! I'm a huge fan of Egerton and I really like Elton John so I'm definitely seeing that one. I'm also looking forward to seeing Once Upon a Time in Hollywood as I love Tarantino and the cast is impressive. I almost picked it myself.

  8. There's just so many superhero movies, I just don't really keep up with them. I just watch them when I get to them.

Have never really been into Pokemon.

While I'm not into animated films much I love all the Toy Story movies, so I am looking forward to the fourth one.
